The Season of Courage
Bush School is a full-day outdoor learning program for children aged 3–10 years.
Through adventure, exploration, practical skills, and meaningful relationships, children develop confidence, resilience, and a growing trust in their own abilities. Each day brings opportunities to climb, build, create, solve problems, care for others, and discover what they are capable of.
At Wise Earth, we believe courage grows through experience, not instruction.
Children learn by walking the track, crossing the creek, lighting the fire, carrying the backpack, navigating challenges, and contributing to the group. With each adventure, they develop a stronger sense of self and a deeper connection to the world around them.
Our Purpose
To nurture confident, capable, and connected young people through real adventure, meaningful responsibility, and life in nature.
Through outdoor exploration, practical skills, storytelling, mentorship, and free play, children learn to:

Children strengthen courage through the Badge Journey.
Each badge provides meaningful opportunities to develop real-world skills while nurturing the habits, attitudes, and character that sit beneath them. Every badge belongs within one of three domains:Myself
Learning to care for self through independence, emotional awareness, resilience, practical skills, and self-leadership.
My Friends
Learning to care for others through communication, teamwork, leadership, service, and healthy relationships.
My Earth
Learning to care for the natural world through stewardship, observation, gratitude, and practical environmental skills.
The badge itself is never the destination. It is simply the vehicle.
The Fruit
As children continue their journey, courage begins to mature into:

Responsibility for their belongings.

Responsibility for their community.
Responsibility for the land that cares for them.This is how children gradually move from dependence to independence, and eventually into the responsibility, relationships, and contribution that come with interdependence.

The Bush School Pathway
What
Where children grow roots that last a lifetime.
Bush School is a nature-based mentoring program where children develop confidence, character, practical skills, and a deep sense of belonging through meaningful experiences in the outdoors.
Through adventure, responsibility, and real-world challenges, children are invited to care for themselves, care for others, and care for the earth while progressing through the Wise Earth Badge Journey.
The more opportunities children have to participate, contribute, and practise these qualities, the deeper they become embodied.
To honour families who choose greater participation, our Two Day and Deep Roots Pathways include additional School Holiday Immersion Days, extending the learning journey beyond the term.

Programs run in alignment with NSW State School Terms.
Where
We rove between Lennox Head, Skennars Head, and Tintenbar, choosing each site with your child's safety, developmental flow, and seasonal learning in mind.
Specific locations are not published publicly as part of our duty of care. Once enrolled, families receive the full term location schedule. We are always happy to discuss general locations before booking.
