The Wise Earth Play School Program is about Nurturing Beginnings, it’s open for children between the ages of 2-4 years with their parent/care-giver. Play School is a chance to explore natural wonders and forge connections with like-minded families who share a passion connecting with their child in nature.

Our Purpose

To nurture curiosity, confidence, and connection, the foundations that prepare children for Bush School and beyond.
Through free play, circle practice and simple craft, children begin to:

Build trust with mentors and peers
Practice listening, helping, and taking turns
Develop early focus, coordination, and calm presence
Learn to care for tools, belongings and the natural world

Readiness for Bush School

Our mentors observe each child’s growth closely to support their natural progression into Bush School. A child is generally ready for this transition when they:

• Are confidently toilet trained

• Can separate from parents with reassurance and curiosity

• Show signs of seeking validation or connection from mentors

• Can communicate basic needs and follow simple group instructions

• Are beginning to take initiative in play or simple tasks

• Can carry a backpack and walk comfortably for up to 1 km

• Show early understanding of care for self, others, and the earth

These milestones are not requirements, but indicators of readiness for the next rhythm of interdependence. When a child begins to show comfort, curiosity, and confidence in the circle, they are ready to step into Bush School.
